As an enormous lifelong fan of all things Star Trek, I can effortlessly recite the classic introductory narrative we have all come to know so well…… “Space,….. The FINAL frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before.” And then the music intensifies with angelic crescendo and cyber techno overtones!
And perhaps deep space is and will always be the “final frontier”. But why, can you tell me, are we so complacent with the undiscovered country of our own intimate space between our ears; known as our brain?
After all, haven’t we been told for generations by evolving neural scientific assessment that all relevant scans reveal that the average human being uses less than 10% of our brains? So, are we to understand that without suggested resolution we are to accept that we may live an entire lifetime experientially limited to less than 1/10 of our conscious neural capacity?
This would-be concession notwithstanding, recent discoveries in neuroplasticity and epigenetics demonstrate that truthfully, the “new frontier” worthy of further wanderlust and spirited investigation may in fact be the brain after all.
‘Neuro’ stands for neurons, the nerve cells in the brain that generate electrical activity, and ‘plasticity’ means changeable, adaptable and modifiable,” explains Norman Doidge, a psychiatrist and author of The Brain’s Way of Healing: Remarkable Discoveries and Recoveries From the Frontiers of Neuroplasticity. Doidge profiles cutting-edge treatments, including light, sound and vibration therapies. He offers however, that anyone can improve the plasticity of the brain simply by adjusting daily habits. What human daily habits would he be referring to?
New scientific discoveries about the biochemical effects of the brain’s functioning show that all the cells of your body are affected by your thoughts. Dr. Bruce Lipton, the bestselling author of Biology of Belief and renowned cell biologist, describes the precise molecular pathways through which this occurs. In his books and lectures he uses simple language, illustrations, humor and everyday examples, and demonstrates how the new science of epigenetics is revolutionizing our understanding of the link between mind and matter, and the profound effects it has on our personal lives and the collective life of our species.
If human beings are capable of rewiring their brains through disciplining themselves with daily brain cognitive habits for more accessible plasticity of neural activity and can alter their brains molecular pathways, realigning the active genetics demonstrating in the body, what else are we capable of in this obsessively driven world of all things superhero?
Excellent question! And my answer as a specialist in this field would be, the full activation of a sense often discussed in hushed tones and privately held intimate company, the little understood “6th Sense” that refers to personal intuition.
In mainstream society, little is known about all the above topics but evolving science is always humbled by its next discovery and often correcting itself from once religiously held discarded theories.
Were we to have greater conscious access to our own grey matter, what would life look like and how would the brain scans we have come to use so readily to determine what hemisphere of the brain we are using and when; would we see lighting up anew?
As an energy intuitive that works intensively with clients to tap into their latent intuition, an author of developmental intuition literature, Prosperity Through the Development of Emotional Intuition and The Reluctant Intuitive, A Soulful Confession and Practical Guide, and a public speaker of awakened consciousness for the purpose of developing our intuitive tool kit, I can assure you there in no doubt in my mind that mainstream science is now articulating what mystics, philosophers, visionaries and seekers have known for eons……. We are all connected to a vast and ever-reaching web of connectivity. Within this delicate net of invisible but fully inclusive lacing of all sentience, we are powerful intuitive beings just beginning to conceive of how immeasurably we can co-create our lives with conscious intention, discipline, education, skill development and overall compassion for one another.
When innovation is upon the imminent threshold of delivering us “Neurolink” by the world-renowned visionary, Elon Musk of Tesla Corporation, Gigafactory, SpaceX and more, foretelling of the inevitable “singularity” that will bridge humanity with the already existent A.I. in a world of real life virtual reality, how can we ignore the necessity, nay the moral obligation to develop our full senses and access the far reaches of the evolved brain if for nothing else but the unquestionable need for personal discernment?
Discovering you were so much more than you ever gave yourself credit for is a fantastically phenomenal gift to allow yourself to receive. Receive it anyway. Developmental intuition is yours to discover and cultivate. It is the next, if not the final frontier.
